Eural Sulcis
Contrary to popular belief, the island's typical dishes largely stem from an agro-pastoral economy, rather than a maritime one. Sheep farming has always been one of the primary production sectors. Flavors, land, and traditions also define our winemaking company: Eural Sulcis.
Behind each product, lies more than just a label: there is a family and a community of individuals sharing a dream. Atobiu, Ortigu, and Solky are just a few of the Eural Sulcis wines born from the magical balance between land and sea.
Carignano & Vermentino
Carignano stands as the most representative red wine of the territory. It is one of the very few engrafted vines cultivated in sandy soils, a peculiarity that has shielded it from phylloxera.
Another emblematic grape variety of the island is Vermentino, a white wine: the salinity of the sea carried by the wind to the vineyards and the calcareous soil provide it with good minerality and an intense aroma featuring fruity and almond notes. Both are native to Sardinia and have found the ideal conditions in Sulcis to best express their qualities.
Cannonau
In addition to the two main wines mentioned above, you cannot depart without tasting one of the most celebrated red wines in Sardinia: Cannonau. An indigenous grape variety, emblematic of the island and cultivated since Nuragic times, it exhibits good adaptability to various soil and climate conditions, revealing typical notes of ripe red fruit, balsamic, and floral wherever it is grown.
It is a robust and structured wine, boasting excellent aging potential and a significant alcohol content. It pairs exquisitely with meat dishes, especially roasts, game, and aged cheeses.
